Nog of Egg.

This is my favorite time of year.

Ezra was so excited to decorate the tree this year, and I was too, although part of me was a bit terrified to do it because of the stage that Myer is at... pulling up on stuff and trying to eat everything in his path that is oogey or sharp.

I decided that I would just deal with it as we went, and, wouldn't you know it? He hasn't even so much as glanced at the thing.

ha ha. Isn't that always the way? You stress and stress about something, which usually turns out to be nothing, and the whole time you could have been using all that wasted energy to pour yourself some more eggnog.

By the way, I am proudly and unashamedly in the 'I Love Eggnog' group. Has there ever been such a divisive beverage in the history of all time? In my experience I have found that you either LOVE it, or you HATE it.

I think part of the problem may be the name. NOG? Nog of EGGS? Really?

Why not just call it RottenEggBog?

We need to think up a new name for this delicious drink, and fast.

I think it should be called something like 'Cinnamon Nutmeg Milk'.

Mmmmm. I'll take two.

I'm a lover, mixed with milk though. My husband is totally grossed out by it. The thing of it is though, eggnog is like a fazillion calories.

That's why you drink light eggnog and just tell yourself it's so much better for you (wink wink)!

I couldn't believe my boyfriend hadn't ever had and it was more astonished when he DIDN'T like it after he tried it. Before him, I wasn't aware anyone was capable of disliking eggnog!

My husband and I were just having this discussion. He insists that if I'd just try some really good eggnog I'd love it. However, I'm certain that there's no such thing and even if there was I still wouldn't like it! It's all just too thick and sweet and rich for my tastes. But I don't begrudge anyone else enjoying it. I rather wish I did like it so I could join in the eggnoggy holiday tradition! Alas, it's always hot chocolate for me. Btw, your tree is beautiful! Glad the baby doesn't bother it. Makes it lots easier to enjoy!

you could try eggnog with a little splash of bailey's rum. creamy and delicious, gives it a little bite. good hot but not too hot and not good lukewarm.

i wonder what is every eggnog lover's favorite BRAND? My family just discovered we do not quite like safeway brand lite eggnog. [i forget which is their fave at the moment.]

have you ever had freshly homemade egg nog? It's a totally different experience, and a lot of people don't really like it, but I have a friend that has a tradition of making it and it's the first time ever that I actually finished the glass. If you have the opportunity you should def try it.
