This is a Mullet-Free Zone.

A few of you have asked to see what the back of my hair looks like. I can only assume that you're interested in the back of my head because you're concerned that I've gone and acquired a mullet. AGAIN.

(The first time I ever cut my hair short, when I was a freshman in high school, I was given a mullet. AND NO ONE BOTHERED TO TELL ME.)

Thank you for your concern.

As of now, I am a mullet-free zone. Although this cut has some gnarly rat-tail potential, yes? I could grow a rat-tail to the middle of my back and braid it!

PS. Taking a picture of the back of one's head is... not as easy as it looks.
I'm pretty sure I pulled something.

Speaking of hair, (okay it's official. This is no longer a mommy blog. It's a HAIR blog.) I gave Ezra's long locks a drastic trim the other day after he was mistaken for a girl not ONCE, but TWICE in the same 24 hour period. I figure a free haircut will go a long way to prevent some of the costs of therapy he would probably need later in life from being called a girl so much when he was little.

Awww... what a tough little manly man he is!

(Except when he sees bugs.)

Yes. What she said about Ezra.

Hope you can un-pull whatever you pulled...that back-of-head shot is seriously cute, though.

Myer, what lovely cheeks you have my dear!

You're still upset about the mullet? I know...I should have told you. It was just too funny not to.

Promise I won't do it again.

The back of your hair is awesome now!

xoxo.

awww, i thought his long hair was adorable! but i know what you mean, my son used to get mistaken for a girl, even in the most boyish outfit! i always chalked it up to the long eyelashes.

Okay, Emery....Love the hair. I know you get like 50 bazillion comments on your posts (as opposed to my whopping um, one or two or none...) I have to know...did you freak out when they were cutting it all off? I'm getting my chopped in a few days and definitely considering going pretty durn short but I'm totally certain I'm gonna freak in the chair and start weeping uncontrollably when the cutting starts. I love short hair but I've tried growing mine out and hate it. I want a fab short cut, but I'm terrified at the same time. So I'm dying to know how you reacted when it was actually happening. Just being nosy. Hope you don't mind! Thanks!

hunnybeemay- actually getting my hairs cut didn't bother me in the slightest... but I think it's because I already know that I love short hair and I was SO ready to cut it off. I was a little nervous about the new look, but the process of cutting it didn't make me emotional or anything. It was falling in piles on the floor and I hardly even thought about it. I think it's just a personality thing... everyone probably feels differently about watching their hard-earned length disappear. I LOVED it! :)
