"Uhh...She sure talks about HAIR an awful lot."

Okay, y'all.

I'm thinking I might go for it. I'm thinking I might chop my hair off. Mostly because my hubby says he'd really like it, and also because, as some of you mentioned: Hey! It's just hair! It gets cut and grows back and it's fun!

Here are the two cuts I'm looking at:

#1
(hey! she went to my high school!)

OR

#2

If I do this, I'm going to get it cut by an actual professional this time, rather than just taking scissors to it myself. A real haircut! Squeeee!! Also- I might color it. Part of me wants to go dark because I think that's what makes the cut so darn cute, but Chris thinks maybe something lighter like a medium brown? Or maybe leaving it blonde?

I'm torn.

Speaking of "torn", remember natalie imbruglia? she had cute hair too:

You know the drill... thoughts? opinions? Which cut do you like? (if at all?) Which color?

I was thinking of waiting to cut it until I reached my pre-preggo weight- as sortof a "hurrah!!"- but it turns out I'm only three pounds off as of now. I figure that's probably just milk weight, (heh) so I'm going to go for it!

(Or not!?)

Help? AGAIN?

You guys are the best. :)

#1 allllllll the way. i almost got my hair cut like that myself :)

and go dark!!! it will be so much fun for you, and definitely a more drastic change. isn't it funny how making your hair different almost makes you feel like a different person? i love it.

I say go for it! And hell go dark! You can always lighten up if you need to :o)

I too vote #1 - I actually like the look of #2, very saucy...however, as a mother of two myself, I find it helpful to be able to see as clearly as possible at all times.

I vote #1 or #3.... I just did the same thing...I was growing it out and getting excited about it being long, then I moved and have been looking for a job for what seems like FOREVER and happened through my job search to find a hair modeling gig which = FREE haircut and I went for it and he cut all my hair off AGAIN and I LOVE IT!!

Oh and go dark, I went from blond to dark last year and LOVED the change...so fun!! Now of course I'm letting it fade to go back blond....

Can't wait to see the 'new you'!!

I like #1 but go platinum! That would look great! Your skin is too light to go dark! Just saying. I can't go dark either because i'm super white! Or have short hair because i have such a round face, but it would look perfect on you!

Yes, chop it! So fun!! I like #1 - ADORABLE. Not sure about the color... maybe you could start with a lighter brown, then gradually go darker if you wanted to. I don't know. Color can be hard. But for sure chop it off though!! :)

Number 1 and dark would look lovely!

I really like #1 and think you would look awesome! I'm not so good with color so I will leave that to everyone else!

Oh and awesome on the weight. You will have to give me pointers on what you did!

i like shannon somethin's haircut...is that her name? the first one.

actually it will prob be even more cute...

so fun getting hair done for real!

#1!!!!!!! So CUTE!

I agree with the consensus so far, number one and i think dark sounds good! I can't wait to see how it turns out. I love getting my hair done by a professional, it has been almost a year, since before having my daughter! Yikes. You are getting my creative hair juices flowing. :)

#1...cute. #2...adorable but would probably feel really heavy especially if not styled properly. and I have a girl crush on Natalie...
I don't think you can go wrong.

no 1 - and dark - not too dark, medium brown sounds good! EEK! I'M SO EXCITED (for you)! I can't wait to see how it looks!

Cut it!!! I love short hairstyles, and well if your husband likes it, then I say go for it!!

Short, like no. 1.
And leave it blonde!

I think I ramble on about my hair more than you do, BTW.

I love the second one....and I think you should go light dark, like some lowlights or something...but you could pull off the all the way dark too!

Emery - I have no idea how you make these decision with people giving so many ideas. I like both of them and it really depends what it will look like considering the texture of your hair.

#1 is adorable, of course and a little more defined - which means lots of styling (work). I like you blond, but I agree with Chris that a medium brown would be cute too, perhaps with a blond highlight peeking out in a tail in the back.

Love you! Can't wait to see what you decide.

#1 and i think you'd look great dark. Good luck and keep us posted :)

Go for it! I really like the first one, but either one would look super cute I'm sure! And...blonde!

I recently got mine cut similarly to #1 and I looooooooooove it! It's a super-fun yet still feminine cut. Also, 1 and 3 look pretty similar -- maybe mostly a styling difference? Have fun!!!

#1 is SO amazingly adorable. do it! you have the face and bod to pull that off! and go dark if you want! it's hair! I am honestly SO jealous. I have a major itch to whack and dye my own but made a pact to grow it...

#1-dark..

I've always LOVED the natalie imbruglia-Torn cut. #2 is also cute without the extreme bangs, that's not really gonna work for a mom of two who isn't just posing for cameras all day. haha.

As for color..you'd look good with dark, but I think keeping it light but just adding nice rich low-lights would make your hair look really posh.

Natalie's haircut and something assymetrical would be so cute on you! I also love the super-short hair I saw on some older pictures of you. You have a great face for it. As for the color, some brown-honey-gold could make it!!

Anonymous said...

just wanted to let you know that number two isn't a short haircut. it's longer hair pinned up in the back to look short. and i also think #2 would make you look insanely shaggy

Anonymous said...

yea!!! i like the last one the best. AND go for the dark color. it would look STUNNING with your fair skin...think catherine gikas-ish.... :) crazy to think she use to be a blonde! love you sweetie! have FUN. and yes, afterall it IS just hair. ;)

Anonymous said...

1!!!!!!! and go for that color too! soo cute.

Anonymous said...

I say #1~ I say go dark if you want to! Again it is just hair! It grows back and you can always color it.

Anonymous said...

I like #1...but have you thought of going RED. I think you have the complexion for it. I also liked the idea of platinum.

But honestly I would just trust the "professional" cutting your hair. They can definitely tell you what would look the best for you... it's their job.

Can't wait to see pics!!!

I like both, but I LOVE the first one!!!!!!

def number. 1 & leave it blonde! Even white blonde looks adorable with a short haircut like this.. but all one color blonde means that your root will grow in as a line where as highlights and low lights blend when they grow out.. less to keep up with.

Manda said...

i'm liking number one. and you should try out dark. eek, you're going to make me want to cut my hair and i've been trying to grow it out for sooo long. short hair is just so much fun!

Do it - Do it -Do it (I'm chanting right now if you can't tell). I ADORE hair changes. Chop it. It will make you feel so sassy. I think the first one is adorable. I can't tell with the second one as much because I can't see it from the side or back. Have you ever had your hair a different color? Let's see pics.

My thought is to take all three photos into the salon and ask the professional which would look the same considering your hair's texture and weight and all that. Sometimes just getting the same cut doesn't mean you'll walk out with the same look.

That is so funny... I just wrote a blog today asking an opinion on a hair change! It must be in the air. :) I love the top pic... very sassy and cute! And changing the color is always fun... it's the easiest thing to change back if you don't like it. (By the way, it's been a veeeeery long time since we've seen each other or spoken, but it looks like you're doing great! I love how you can just randomly run across people thru this blogging network. You have a gorgeous family... congrats on the new addition!) - Sarah (Mills)

I like number 1 and 2...Dark would be different! Maybe have the chop first, then decide if the dark will go with the 'do!

I have been looking for a rare blog because I am tired of accessing almost the same topic discussed in a website. This blog is actually hitting what I want to expect. I am very glad that you are now providing the information where I am hunting for many days of surfing the net. Thanks for this post. You really hits the target!
